Education is a mighty tool to help people and communities step out of poverty. It’s also a mission field - a place where Christian faith is lived out through care, service, and constant presence.  

 

Our partners in Bangalore, India, provide a safe place for children whose families are persecuted for being Christian. Through their Kindergarten School, children receive structured learning, caring teacher support and learn how valuable they are as people made by God. 

 

Families in the local area face numerous obstacles including low-income or irregular jobs, and parents having received little education themselves. Many children in this community face:

 

• Limited access to learning resources 

• Health, hygiene and nutrition-related issues which affect regular attendance and the ability to concentrate at school. Imagine trying to learn math while your stomach is empty!

• A lack of education leading to limited vocabulary and attention difficulties, which causes further challenges  

 

They look to our Catch The Fire India partners to provide safe care, consistent education and moral guidance for their children. The kindergarten is a place of partnership with families, providing hope of a different future for the children. But help is needed to support serving the needs of the children and engagement with parents and the wider community. 

 

How You Can Support

To help bless a child with the gift of education, you can donate towards the following needs:

 

USD$360 provides tuition fees for one child for a year

USD$35 provides a book kit for one child for a year

USD$25 provides a uniform and shoes to a child

 

Monthly giving is a powerful way to build lasting change for children and communities. Partner with our partners in India by choosing one of the following options:

 

USD$155 per month to cover monthly rent

USD$55 per month to cover snacks for all students

 

For one off gifts - the most urgent needs are:

 

USD$275 allows the school to buy a much needed printer to print off educational resources, school reports, certificates and more. 

USD$1,100 allows the school to buy a camera
