The devastating effects of mud landslides in northern Pakistan were horrifying to see. Homes were swept away, livelihoods destroyed and over 400 people lost their lives in the floods of August 2025.

In the weeks after the tragedy, many people sheltered in schools, mosques or relatives’ homes. Most had nothing left but the clothes they were wearing on the day of the floods.

Impacting Asia joined forces with another charity, Impact Nations, and thanks to our generous donors, were able to raise a combined USD$10,000. These funds were used to meet the immediate needs of those devastated by the floods.

With winter approaching, bedding was identified as a priority as many people were sleeping on cold floors without blankets or mattresses. Cooking implements including plates and cups were also flagged as being vital.

Through our local partner, Catch The Fire Pakistan, the funds raised were used to purchase supplies including:

  • 330 sets of mats and blankets

  • 110 sets of utensils

  • 110 Family packs of food including 10kg flour, 5kg rice, tea, sugar, pulses, pepper, water, chilli, salt and soap

These vital supplies were driven to remote villages, bringing warmth and much needed sustenance.

Thank you to everyone who donated to bring urgent relief in this tragedy.
